Ryan Mcconnell, Steve Kulp, and Hans Davies discuss a New World Order: Connecting with the Post 2020 Sports Fan

       Ryan McConnell, Steve Kulp, and Hans Davies from Kantar’s North American MONITOR and Toffler Associates will present a vision for connecting with the post-2020 sports fan during the third and final keynote address at the Innovation Institute for Fan Experience’s conferenceInnovative Pathway to the Future of Sports & Entertainment. Ryan,Steve, and Hans will address a New World Order: Connecting with the Post 2020 Sports Fan. Their research brings a new perspective on the logistics and future of the Sport & Entertainment industry following2020, one of the most consequential years in the industry’s history.

 

 Ryan McConnell is the lead product manager for Kantar’s North American MONITOR suite of syndicated consumer insights products. His leads the content, marketing, renewal, and acquisition strategies for MONITOR’s 150+ clients. Ryan began his career in marketing and advertising in 1999 as a media planner at Ogilvy & Mather. After a stint as a consumer strategist at the media planning agency Carat, Ryan earned his master’s degree in journalism at New York University and worked as a reporter at MLB.com and Advertising Age prior to joining The Futures Company – which became Kantar, in 2008.

 

Steve Kulp is a Director at Kantar, where he works with clients of all shapes and sizes to help them answer the difficult questions that will help them drive their business forward. With Sports MONITOR, Steve is focused on helping sports-minded clients understand what makes fans tick. Looking beyond simple demographics and behaviors, Steve seeks to identify the attitudes and values that shape who fans are as people.  Prior to joining Kantar, Steve spent over two decades working as a researcher and strategist and holds a master’s degree in mass communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

 

Hans specializes in strategic planning, risk management, resource management, and innovation policy. He helps organizations strengthen their ability to manage enterprise risk. Prior to joining Toffler Associates, Hans worked at SAIC, supporting arms control and complex operations initiatives for the Department of Defense. He has served as a Congressional staff member, worked with the Department of State, and was a Robert Bosch Foundation Fellow in Germany. Hans earned a B.A. with honors in History from Williams College and an M.A. in International Relations and International Economics from Johns Hopkins University.
