January 19, 2021 Jackson, Mississippi – On Thursday, February 11, 2021, the Innovation Institute for Fan Experience (IIFX) will host the first two sessions of its newest live webinar series, “COVID TECH PLAYBOOK,” at 12 noon and 2 pm CST. The series will provide sports and entertainment industry professionals with a deep dive into the latest technologies being used to drive the return to work, play and spectate.

The COVID TECH PLAYBOOK is being produced by Xperience, an IIFX network of technology enterprises and startups. As the world begins looking past the pandemic, sports and entertainment organizations are preparing to reset, restart and reopen to fans.

“The process of opening a venue and delivering a live sports or entertainment experience has never been more difficult… This series is designed to help make this job a little easier.”

“The process of opening a venue and delivering a live sports or entertainment experience has never been more difficult,” said Dr. Lou Marciani, director, and co-founder of IIFX. “Not only must venue operators meet medical and government requirements to ensure health and safety for all involved, but they must also convince skeptical fans that the risks of attending in-venue experiences are worth it. This series is designed to help make this job a little easier.”

COVID TECH PLAYBOOK will provide insight on how these innovative technologies can help organizations return with greater ease and efficiency. New technology, some of which has been developed because of the pandemic, provides important tools to help the sports and entertainment industry manage risk, protect staff and fans, reopen doors, and deliver memory-making fan experiences.

The first round of COVID TECH PLAYBOOK sessions will kick off on February 11, 2021 with leading global technology services company, NTT Ltd at 12 noon CST and digital contact tracing company, Alert Trace at 2pm CST. There are currently seven sessions scheduled for the month of February with more being added throughout March and April. The content and subjects will address some of the most pressing challenges of the industry.

COVID TECH PLAYBOOK is a FREE live webinar series. To see the full schedule and to register for upcoming sessions, visit our Events calendar page. Please join us on our mission to expedite and provide an innovative pathway to a safe and secure return to live sports and entertainment.
