Eloise Brasi, Paulo Gomes, and Matt Kastel Discuss Where Sports and Entertainment Organizations Go Forward

On the first day of the Innovation Institute for Fan Experience’s conference– Innovative Pathway to the Future of Sports & Entertainment, Eloise Brasi, Paulo Gomes, and Matt Kastel will be discussing possible answers to the question “What Have Sports and Entertainment Organizations Learned From COVID-19 As We Go Forward?” All three of these incredible professionals have much to say about this question, but before you hear them speak, learn a little more about them. 

Eloise Brasi graduated from Pantheon-Assas University with a Masters in Law and Security Strategy and an MBA in Competitive Intelligence. She co-authored a book called: Israel, the 6th GAFAM? A strategy of power through new technologies. She was the head of the Anti-Crime Unit in Paris, and is now the Police Captain. Eloise also works for the Ministry of the Interior within the National Coordination for the Security of the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games and of the Major International Sporting Events (CNSJ-GESI) as Head Deputy of the Safety and Security Pole for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. 

Paulo Gomes is a police commissioner from the Portuguese National Police. He has been working with the Council of Europe as a Senior Program Manager for four years at the Conventions Division. Paulo is the former National Police Director of Portugal. Throughout his 35-year career within the police department, he was regularly dealing with the topic of policing at major events. He was the deputy head of the National Committee on Safety and Security of Soccer EURO 2004 and the 2006 U-21 Championship, which were both held in Portugal. 

Matthew Kastel is currently the Stadium Manager at Oriole Park at Camden Yards (Baltimore, Maryland [USA]) and President of the Board of Directors for the Stadium Managers Association. In addition, Matt is on the Board of Advisors for Mt. St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Maryland (USA).  He is also co-author of Managing Sport Facilities with Gil Fried of the University of New Haven.
