CALLING ALL FANS: VACCINES ARE helping pave the way for sports AND ENTERTAINMENT SPECTATORS and Fans TO RETURN TO VENUES, WHAT’S NEXT?

On 11 March 2020, the World Health Organization declared COVID-19 a pandemic.   Nine months later, four vaccines debuted in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Russia.  The United States has since added another vaccine to the world’s public health arsenal in the fight against COVID-19 – more are certain to follow.  The challenge is to overcome vaccine hesitancy so that the world can reach a level of herd immunity sufficient to interrupt the spread of COVID-19 so that we no longer fear it.  For the sports and entertainment industry, herd immunity makes it possible to return to work, play, and spectate. With more sports teams allowing fans back in some capacity, fans once again are able to watch their favorite teams and players in person. However, one question that has been on the minds of fans is a large question that must be answered: what’s next?

On PistonPowered.com, a blog writer wrote about this exact question and what will happen going forward.

As stated in the article, both the business operations and spectator parties are looking forward to bringing fans back to the stands in a safe and proper manner, ideas such as our own Fan Panel allow fans to “to have some say in how teams eventually return to normal.”
