Now that many professional sports venues have focused on the air quality within their stadiums because of the COVID-19 pandemic, fans seem to notice and show more interest in returning to stadiums for games. Before the coronavirus pandemic, air quality within stadium was not really seen as an important aspect of the fan experience. However, the pandemic has changed the world, and high-quality air filtration systems have become an important piece to inspire confidence in fans so that they return to games.
In a recent poll conducted by Morning Consult, “50 percent of U.S. adults who attend at least several sporting events in a typical year said they would be ‘very’ or ‘somewhat’ comfortable attending an indoor sporting event right now, only slightly less than the 56 percent who said they’d be comfortable at an outdoor sporting event.” Now that fans are becoming more and more comfortable with returning to sporting events, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver and NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman are ready to open doors for fans to watch their favorite teams compete once their respective sports return.
