While the cancellation of mass gatherings at sports venues are often big news, the entertainment side of the industry has been hit hard by COVID-19, and producers and event planners are trying to find ways to resume productions and deliver high-quality entertainment events. COVID-19 has its own budget line in many production budgets.
After becoming one of the first movies to return to production, “Jurassic World: Dominion” had its release date pushed back to 2020. The studio has taken “intense measures to keep the set coronavirus-free, including frequent testing, temperature checks, and isolating the cast and key crew at a resort hotel.”
The Innovation Institute for Fan Experience is co-chairing the Return to Work, Play, and Spectate National Task Force, leveraging thought leaders in the sports and entertainment industry to identify the key learnings, questions, and decisions that must be made during the “Great Wait” to safely return to work, play, and spectate.
