Since March 2020, the world has been hit by different Covid-19 variants. Some, like Alpha and Delta were declared “Variants of Concern” by the World Health Organization. Viruses exist in a place between something that is alive and that which is not alive. They are elusive and mutate to enhance their chances of survival, often by becoming more virulent and contagious. So it is with our newest Variant of Concern – Omicron. It appears to be easier to catch, but may be less dangerous. Only time will tell. We are following its spread and reading more about this variant on the CDC website.
