Peter Dalton
Pete is an international Protective Security Consultant and former UK Specialist Police Commander; with the majority of his service dedicated to Specialist Operations. Pete accredited as a Specialist (Counter Terrorism) Tactical Firearms commander, involved in the management, command and deployment of complex counter terrorism firearms operations. He has worked extensively within the Counter Terrorism Policing Network, Security Agencies and within complex event management & incident command structures.
He planned & performed key command roles and events of national and international significance, including the Royal Wedding of Prince Henry of Wales and Miss Meghan Markle, visit of President Trump, International D-Day 75, State and Ceremonial Events, Major Crime and high-profile international sporting events. Pete was the Head of Department, responsible for the Protection of Royalty & Diplomatic VIPs and Protected Sites.
Pete was an accredited Counter Terrorism Security Coordinator, providing advice and developing Protective Security plans to minimise, mitigate and manage threats towards significant events. He has recently led a project to review and implement Hostile Vehicle Mitigation within the public realm and led on implementing new tactics in crowded space environments.
He is actively engaged as an International Protective Security & Incident Command Consultant, working with the National Centre for Spectator Sport Safety & Security (NCS4) and Interpol, developing the International Sports Safety & Security Training Programme, through Project Stadia. This programme is developing capability and capacity for Major International Sporting Event Command. He has delivered training to officers from 58 Countries. Pete is the lead Protective Security & Incident Command consultant for Mind Over Matter Consultancy and IIfx.Org
Pete delivers command level training and presentations on Protective Security Concepts of Operations. He works with International clients to design, develop and deliver complex Operational Readiness activities, exercises and quality assurance programs.
