Peter Ashwin is the principal of Event Risk Management Solutions (ERMS), a consulting practice committed to enhancing organizational resilience of event organizing committees through innovative risk management practices, ‘mission ready’ preparedness programs and integrated security solutions for today’s complex and uncertain world. A former Australian Army special forces officer, Peter has led multinational teams in the major events environment in seven countries including six Olympic Games (2000 – 2012) and the Baku 2015 European Games (Azerbaijan). Peter has also consulted to some of North America’s most iconic events including the Calgary Stampede, the Philadelphia Flower Show, Memphis in May International Festival, the Pasadena Tournament of Roses and the Canadian National Exhibition “The EX”, Toronto. Peter is an author, lecturer, speaker and expert witness on event risk management and security. He is currently completing a MSc in Security & Risk Management, University of Leicester, UK.
