Henry Ruggs Released by Raiders and Facing Charges
Henry Ruggs III was the Las Vegas Raiders leader in receiving yards this season. A talented three-sport athlete since high-school, Ruggs received Division I offers for baseball, track, and football, ultimately committed to play football at the University of Alabama. Early in the morning on November 2nd, 2021, Las Vegas police responded to a fiery crash caused by a speeding Chevrolet Corvette.
Ruggs who was the driver of the vehicle, was reported to have had a blood alcohol level of 0.161, twice the legal limit. The crash resulted in the death of 23-year-old Tina Tintor. Ruggs was released by the Raiders the day after the event. Ruggs is facing charges for DUI Resulting in Death and Reckless Driving Resulting in Death. If convicted, he faces up to 40 years in prison.
