Daniel Shamayev

Intern, Innovation Institute for Fan Xperience

Daniel is an intern for the Innovation Institute for Fan Experience, and a sophomore at Yeshiva University’s Sy Syms School of Business.  Majoring in finance and minoring in accounting, Daniel is enthralled with his school’s dual education program where he can study both Biblical text and focus on his degree. Outside of school, Daniel is the founder of the Detroit Synagogue Basketball League, an all-Jewish men’s league that meets once a week. He also has experience in writing and editing, spearheading a monthly newsletter for his local youth group NCSY, where he is currently an advisor for teenagers trying to influence them on making correct life decisions that will alter their future. Daniel also has featured articles in the Detroit Jewish News and PistonPowered. As a member of his university’s sports broadcasting team, MacsLive, he is a staff writer and a segment producer. As an observant Jew, Daniel refrains from work and electronics on Saturdays. He prays three times a day and spends his mornings learning the Talmudic text in a rigorous fashion.
